Brittney is a 21 year old fitness enthusiast who has broken provincial records at BCPA competitions, proving she’s one heck of a powerlifter. She is also a member of Team Reflex.

What’s your sport of choice?
Bodybuilding and powerlifting
What is your best ‘high-five’ moment that you achieved in powerlifting?
Competing in my first BCPA competition where I not only earned first place in the Junior 52kg weight class but also broke the squat record and bench record.
What or who would you say is your biggest motivation that helps you achieve your best?
My biggest motivation stems from those around me who unwaveringly believe in me and support me. Their positive energy is contagious and helps me to recognize that I have limitless potential to excel at anything I work hard at.
How would you say you motivate others to achieve their best?
I try to first and foremost motivate others through leading by example. I present myself very openly, sharing my thoughts, feelings and aspirations with those around me. I think this helps people understand what I’m all about; a person who remains focused, confident and eager to learn. I present myself openly in hopes that others will feel comfortable enough to approach me, that way I can help them more directly. I genuinely care about others and when people reach out to me I feel like I’m being given a great opportunity!
What’s your favourite post-workout indulgence (could be food, hot bath, massage, etc)?
My favorite post-workout indulgences are sweets! I’m a dark chocolate, chocoholic!
What’s one supplement that’s always in your cupboard?
My must-haves include BCAAS, glutamine, and whey protein.
What’s your ‘dream big’ goal that you hope to achieve?
My dream big goal is to develop a platform that can help me inspire, motivate, and support other individuals. As much as I am passionate about fitness, I have always been passionate about people. Putting the two together would be a great way to teach others to live not only a healthy lifestyle from an active perspective, but also from an emotional perspective. If I could be the person to help others find their sense of self-worth and help them grow their self-confidence I know my heart would feel more full than ever!
