Now we love pumpkin as much as the next person, but empty calories, we’ll pass on. We went to our experts to create a pumpkin smoothie that has all the same great flavour as the treats we love, but packed with protein so we can indulge in our favourite flavour morning, noon, and night.
Protein Pumpkin Smoothie
1 -½ cups almond milk (depending on consistency desired)
1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
1 serving vanilla protein powder (or chai spiced flavor)
Pinch of nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp coconut oil
3 ice cubes
1 Tbsp chia seeds
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until creamy and smooth.
Nutrition: 309 calories, 12 g fat (5 g saturated), 65 mg cholesterol, 249 mg sodium, 26 g carbs, 6 g fiber, 13 g sugars, 26 g protein
