Meet Katelynn

My name is Katelynn and I am a certified personal trainer and holistic nutritional consultant from Calgary, AB. My love for fitness started in 2011 when I became a personal trainer while attending the University of Calgary where I obtained a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. Continuing my education in the health and fitness industry, I graduated in 2017 from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where I became a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant!

I have established myself as a leading fitness trainer within Calgary and was recently named one of Canada’s Top Fitness Instructors by IMPACT Magazine in 2019. In 2018, I decided to start my own business, KM Fitness. I was nominated for Ms Health & Fitness by Muscle & Fitness Hers Magazine where I placed 12th in the international group and competed in my first fitness competition with NPAA where I placed 2nd in the novice bikini category!

Where do you find motivation?

My main motivation comes from seeing how far I have come in my fitness journey and career. I used to be solely focused on what the numbers said on the scale, but I began focusing on how my body feels physically & mentally and how my confidence has grown throughout the years. I have many amazing individuals that have inspired me over the course of my fitness journey/career. As a trainer, everyday I inspire all my clients to give it their best and to see fitness as more than just the number on the scale and how to live a balanced healthy lifestyle which motivates me to be better!

Proats ( rolled oats, ISO 100 chocolate protein powder, 1 tsp of nut butter and almond milk)

Lunch

Salad: Mix greens, source of protein, avocado, strawberries top with my favourite dressing.

Dinner

Stir Fry- Rice or quinoa with a source of protein and lots of veggies.

Spaghetti Squash with ground turkey, homemade tomato pasta sauce and veggies.

Snack

Caramel rice cakes with coconut nut butter

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

  • 1/2 cup of frozen avocado
  • 3/4 scoop of protein powder
  • 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • Drop of vanilla extract
  • Blend all together and enjoy!
