Meet Jamey-Lyn

My name is Jamey-Lyn Horth, I’m 27 yrs old and I’m from Squamish, BC. I have always loved competition and sport. When I’m not training or fighting you’ll find me baking goodies or with a cup of coffee and a handful of dogs wandering the woods!

I was into everything – my mom enrolled me into almost every sport you could think of. I tried hockey, football, baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, dance, the list goes on! I stuck with soccer consistently, starting when I was 5 years old and still playing today. I played high level soccer in West Vancouver during high school and 4 years of University soccer afterwards. I have been fortunate enough to travel to different parts of the world playing soccer.

I started Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) just over 4 years ago and I still remember my coach saying “Once you come in here, you’re never going to leave”. I started with a few kickboxing and BJJ tournaments, to my first kickboxing match which later developed into MMA. I crave the adrenaline from competing and after winning a few tournament belts, I wanted more. In July 2017, I challenged for the championship belt and won, becoming the BFL Women’s Amateur Champ! I am always looking for the next level up – I took another step signing my first pro contract with Battlefield Fight League. I will be making my Pro Debut March 17, 2018!
