Simple Homemade BCAA Gummies

Simple Homemade Bcaa GummiesIf you’re looking for a light pre, intra, or post workout snack to preserve and repair your muscles, BCAA gummies may be just what you’re looking for. BCAA gummies are chocked full of protein and contain a full serving of branched chain amino acids in each batch.

They are easy to whip up with any brand of BCAA powder, and will make a great secret weapon while you’re shredding down for summer!

Why Consume BCAAs?

You may look great when you start to get lean and mean, but unfortunately, it’s near impossible to maintain all of your hard earned muscle mass during the process. When you workout you’re essentially breaking down your muscles, leading to a repairing process called “muscle protein synthesis.” This is the stage where your body actually builds your muscles up to be even stronger than what they were before! Unfortunately, during a dieting phase, muscle protein synthesis slows down, making it harder for your muscles to repair themselves, let alone get bigger and stronger.

That’s where supplementing with BCAAs comes in!

BCAAs are made up of three amino acids that your body can’t produce on its own: leucine, valine, and isoleucine.

Scientific studies have demonstrated that the consumption of these amino acids can increase the rate of muscle protein synthesis in the body. Research also shows that BCAAs compete with the amino acid tryptophan for entry into the brain. This can be useful in preventing fatigue during exercise, as tryptophan is converted to serotonin, which can make you feel sleepy or like you’ve hit “The Wall.” Consuming BCAAs before and during your workout will, therefore, increase the intensity of your training session!

So, the next time you feel unmotivated or lack energy during your workout, pop a few BCAA gummies!
