Meet Rae-Ann

I’m a Personal Training Specialist, Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, IndoRow Certified Instructor, and Certified Children’s Fitness Coach in Calgary.

When I’m not competing, teaching at Row 17, or leading my ladies only bootcamp you can find me working with my son’s hockey or lacrosse team doing their dryland training. The rest of the time you can find me doing anything from snowboarding, to hiking, to skydiving. I help my clients reach their health goals through individualized nutrition, encouraging them to make themselves and their fitness a priority.

Favorite way to sweat

Lifting weights and rowing.

Playlist

Since I teach at Row 17, I’m constantly listening to new music to rotate new and fun songs into my playlists. I listen to everything from EDM, to hip hop, country and indie rock.

Place to visit or travel

I don’t have a favourite, but I do love to explore and see new places. The French Polynesians are on the list!

Extra Motivation

I get my motivation from within. I find with any individual sport, whether it’s running or weightlifting, it’s constantly you vs. you. Being faster, beating times, hitting personal bests, pushing yourself to that next level.

I also find working with a coach motivating; they can offer a different perspective and notice things you don’t see, which can lead to development.

Peanut butter cup milkshake

I love 1 cup unsweetened cashew milk, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 scoop chocolate love Quattro protein, blended up and it’s like a Reese’s peanut butter cup milkshake!

Breakfast

I love a good pumpkin protein waffle!

Snack

Daryl’s All Natural Performance Line bars.

Lunch

I love quinoa, chicken, grated apple and peanut butter all melted and warmed up together. It’s like oats and has a homestyle comfort feel to it.

Dinner

Extra lean beef patty or lemon ginger chicken with sweet or regular potatoes with Vegenaise and some variety of green veggie.
