Meet Crystal

I am a full-time mom and nurse, born and raised in Prince George, BC. I’ve always had a competitive spirit entering my first bodybuilding show (the Iron Ore Classic) on a bet in October of 2016. I placed 2nd in my class and was happy to retire from the world of competing but watching others prep for Provincials, it lit a fire in me. I decided to compete at BC Provincials in July 2017 ‘just for fun’ and went on to win my class and place 10th only 3 weeks later at Nationals!

As a mental health and addictions nurse, I’ve combined my passion for sport with my love of healthcare and created a 12 step, 12 week program designed to help those with disordered eating gain self esteem and build healthier habits. More than any trophy, I believe impacting and motivating others is the true reward!

Favorite way to sweat

Definitely lifting weights! I like to keep my rest periods relatively short (30-45 seconds) and my weights heavy.

Playlist

Anything current with good bass. I listen to everything from rock to pop to country and switch up my playlist often!

Place to visit or travel

Anywhere that the water looks like Windex – I love the ocean!

Extra Motivation

I find motivation in the people around me. Life isn’t a competition, we are all working to better ourselves and I believe there is room for all of us at the top!

FAVORITE SUPPLEMENTS

BPI’s Keto Bomb is a definite favourite and I am always fully stocked on multivitamins and omega 3-6-9.

Flourless Banana Bread Muffins

1 cup peanut butter
2 ripe bananas
1 tsp baking soda
3 eggs
3 tbsp dark chocolate chips

Blend PB, bananas, baking soda and eggs in the blender. Add chocolate chips. Spoon into muffin pan. Bake at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes.
